Luke Wood is a bassist and instructor hailing from Burlington, Ontario. Growing up in a musical family, he has been interested in and passionate about music from a young age, picking up the bass at 11 years old. Since then, he has had the privilege to hone his craft alongside many other talented musicians at events such as the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Fest, Brantford Jazz Fest, various live music venues throughout the GTA, and was also recently featured on Jazz FM’s Jazzology program. Luke is currently attending Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario for applied music and is well accomplished, both in academic and hands-on pursuits. Studying under teachers such as Pat Collins, Jamshed Turel, and Darcy Hepner, he continues to effectively develop his talents and knowledge.
